Knob Enders at work reckon they are taking Kieffer when the window opens.

I told them they will have to hand over what they got for Hugill.

Hope for promotion. They'll be four or five not wanting another season in L1.
Be a totally different team next season up or down.... again..

Yeah it's very important to get promoted this season. Can't see Davies, Lindsay, Pinnock, Moore and Woodrow at the very least wanting to spend another season playing at this lowly level.

Davies is all but gone. He can pick up a significant wage being a back up keeper pushing for a first team spot higher up the leagues.

Won’t risk his Wales call ups either and would just be an injury away from a regular run of games

I know that but with 3 year left would take a serious offer for Woodrow to go. Would get a really big sum for kieffer I'd imagine.

As with any player at any club.

If we’re still league 1, there’ll be inevitable departures, but not the fire sale some would fear. Sometimes think current owners are judged off the actions of previous ones.

Every player in the football league is up for sale.
But hopefully these owners will get top dollar for our players.

    Three red lines:

    1) They don’t sell to our competition for supporters i.e. Leeds and the Sheffield clubs.
    2) They don’t sell cheaply.
    3) They don’t sell while we are in a relegation or promotion battle.

Such a shame if we have to sell Woodrow or Moore. Not often we have 2 strikers as good as them. Reckon they would score in the championship too. I can remember thinking how lucky we were to have them playing together and banging em in at halftime when we played Gillingham away. Half an hour later kieffer got injured. My fault...

I can’t blame any player wanting to play at a higher level, as much as it pains me when we lose one of our better players I’m afraid I’d be the same, I’d want to ply my trade at the highest level possible.

I cant blame em but its crap when our best players leave, the money we get doesent go into my bank account (unfortunatley) and we seldom buy a ready made, hit the ground running replacement. Not stupid enough to think that players would have any loyalty nowadays but we do have a habit of plucking players from lower leagues or when theyre careers have stalled, but they jump ship at the first opportunity when weve gave them the platform and coaching to greatly improve themselves. Its just a bit annoying, feels like were supporting a football training and improvement center, not a football team sometimes.

So you wouldn’t sell an unwanted player to a competitor to enable you to buy a better player?
    Or a 10goal a season striker for a 20?

Agreed. It is just the way things work these days. Targets will already be there for replacements as well.
Kieffer's recent injury, lack of previous success at a higher level & his long contract might keep him with us if we fail to go up.
I wouldn't hold out any hope of keeping Pinnock, Davies, Woodrow & Lindsay though. Will be hard keeping Pinnock, even if we are promoted TBH.
