Can't understand why Williams has taken his position don't get me wrong I don't think Williams is awful or anything but cavare Lindsay pinnock and pinnilos the best back 4 in the league I understand Lindsay is injured so I would go 3 out of 4.

    We can have our opinions.

But the gaffer has taken us to second in the league. He has the results to back up his opinions.

Cavaré is a much bigger threat going forward. Can’t say Williams looks sound in defensive or attacking areas.

Not convinced by Williams either but I think this is all down to partnerships. I don’t think Stendel trusts Cavare and Jackson next to each other. With Lindsey in the side, we can just about afford the ‘luxury’ of Cavare.

I could be miles off though.

You could be right I thought Jackson did well today the goal line clearance was great but Lindsay would be infront of him for me if fit. But in my opinion cavare is the better option defending and attacking.

Think after 43 games this season a little rest has been good. But he needs to start Monday as Williams hasn't impressed and at times nearly cost us big time.

I’d agree with all of that. I think Jackson walks into most teams in this division but is clearly behind Lindsay in our pecking order when everyone’s fit. Just struggling to think of other reasons for the sudden change, unless it’s simply for rest.

I think you’re right. Jackson possibly doesn’t offer as much protection for Cavare when he bombs forward - or at least Stendel thinks that.

Or maybe he’s carrying a slight niggle. Something that’s not stopping him being on bench if required, but resting it.

Yeah but thinking about it when Lindsay and pinnock are in the same team pinnock plays on the right of the two center backs nearest cavare so who knows. I trust stendel but just think cavare offers more.

    Wasn’t Cavare injured last week?

Maybe Stendel thought best to leave him out to recover better this week, especially after Williams did ok last time out.

I think you’ll see Cavare back next week whether Lindsay is in the team or not.

He does get yelled at a lot by Stendel, especially in waiting for a bus to come before he gets back into defence when an attack breaks down. I do like Cavare though. If he comes back in, I hope that he works his magic with Brown again to create a shed-load of chances in the last three games.

I like Williams. Think he's very promising, but if Cavare is fit, he's first choice for me.

I think Ben Williams has played more games than he should have due to injuries, and it's not helped him. Hopefully Jordan will be used more sparingly until he's properly ready.

He does always have a penalty in him does Dimi. Mebbe he doesn't want to risk a rush of blood?

Cavare is tough but he's not good enough. Too inconsistent, prone to bad decisions whether with the ball or without. If BFC go up he'll be more exposed as a weak link imo.
