Premiership fixtures released today. Also been confirmed, that there will be a two week
Winter break in February. If that proves to be beneficial, do we feel it could eventually
be extended to include the Championship.?

I hope not. I'm fully expecting Man United / Liverpool / Man City to be spending their winter break playing friendlies in the Far East, cashing in at every opportunity.

There not allowed to play any friendly games during the winter break. (Premier League Rules).

Also if the team wish to go abroad for a training camp they have to apply for permission from premier league too

Dount it would extend down the leagues with play offs to fit in and 46 league games I don't think it would work. Also it gives the EFL the chance to be more prominent during the international break, probably stick a few extra games on tv.

Think it's more to do with the FA trying to look after/ save England international players, by way of a bit of R&R, to stop the " we dont get a break for nine months that's why we have been albeit the last one a poor national side"

Stupid idea. Hopefully it will be snowing the week before it and the week after but nice and sunny in the break so that the Premier League shuts down for a month.

If it's such a stupid idea, why do other major leagues such as the Bundesliga, La Liga, Ligue 1, Serie A and the Eredivisie all have it?

I’ll bet if it takes off one of the big five will be arranging some sort of meaningless game or entering a foreign mini league competition .
Once these have been established with very little protestation from the greed league it will become the norm within five to ten years ,

So they all have the same unpredictable weather as the UK then?

It probably makes perfect sense in Russia.....
