Obviously Luke Thomas has come in to strengthen that right hand side, assuming that's where he will play after I watched him for Coventry against us in that position. If we have paid the reported 1.2 million, then surely you'd be thinking he's going straight in? If so where does Brown fit? After the season he had surely he's the first choice on that right hand side? Glad to see signings starting to happen though!
What will be will be. I think Brown could struggle next season. Fingers crossed he does well. But I can see him out on loan in January.
I really don't think Brown's position will be under threat. For a young lad, he has a big heart and is up for a battle, exactly what is needed to survive (hopefully better than just survive) in The Championship. It suspect Thiam, and particularly Green, will be looking over their shoulders. But not Brown.
Brown had some shockers last season and was forced to be played despite not being totally ready to step up. There both still learning though and on the right path.
Shockers? Bit harsh that. The way he made a monkey out of that Peterborough full back for his goal just oozed class.
Brown isn't ready for the championship, albeit not many of these young lads are. The competition is huge though, itll keep the lads on their toes.
Brown will have to fight for his place just like everyone else should. Hopefully squad will drive each other on. We now have Green, Thomas, Thiam and Brown as wingers. Good to have two in each position.
How do you know that. I didnt think he was ready to step in to replace Potts so I am certainly not saying he isn’t ready for the Championship until I’ve seen how he does. I think he will be ok though
He had some games he was superb and some where he want quite so good but hardly shockers. He scored crucial goals in at least a couple of the games he wasn’t at his best as well
Hes not ready to start week in week out in the championship, hes just not. Let's not kid ourselves here. Hes an excellent prospect who did a good job for us last season but the championship is 5 times the standard of league 1. Time on the ball, decision making, positioning are 3 things I'd say ate the reason he isn't ready. He'll get there, 100%. Is he ready now? No. Will he be ready by nov/dec? Probably.
Browny is more than capable of switching wings. He did it at Oxford when we were 2 down and setup one of the goals for sure, may even have been both.
