seconded Mr B.... this annual watching paint dry event should be scrapped. I boils my piss the way the BBC allow it totally consume them on BBC 1 & 2. And even chuffin red button too.
Aye cancel Wimbledon because some simpleton from Barnsley would rather watch repeats keeping up appearances!! Knob!!
Havn't watched the game since the Borg era but i have caught a few of their interviews and both appear to be jolly good sorts. Federer is a big cricket fan from his youth in south africa so that's an extra thumbs up from me. A couple of ashes ago in australia the england team asked to meet up with Murray during the aussie open but he refused saying he was too tired. Federer jumped at the opportunity however.
I asked a simple question which rather naively I hoped might be answered by those interested in tennis. Instead, as is too regular on this site, answers follow from those with no interest in answering or debating the subject matter. How shallow is a person's life, when they feel the need to post on a thread about a matter that they have no interest in, and tell everyone that they have no interest in it?
Federer but only because I backed him to win. Couldn't understand why Nadal was odds on. Obviously still can change.
I like to see a good game of tennis. Have to say because he appears shy and extremely modest, I invariably root for Roger no matter who he happens to be playing against. He's an extremely fit athlete and the way he moves across the Court belies the fact that he's now 37 years of age.
I don’t usually watch Wimbledon but how anybody can’t appreciate the skill and in athleticism in this match is beyond me
Always Federer. Such a class act. I wasn’t overly confident he would beat Nadal today though but he’s getting close now.
Latecomer to this conversation, and Rog looks close to victory. However...….. Rafa has won 18 'slam' titles, but only 4 on grass. Rog has won 20 'slam' titles - 19 on grass. Having said that, I'm hopeful whoever comes through will be knackered enough to lose to Djoko on Sunday (11/8 pre-tournament).
