Tbh, given what they bid for Grigg I'd want more. Not that he cares for my opinion at all but I'd think less of a player opting to play in a lower league than they could, particularly if they supposedly want international football
Problem is managers would look at Sunderland being a bigger club rather than what league they are in. Daft I know.
Totally agree. Regardless of money, you don’t drop down a League at his age if you can help it. Sunderland are not guaranteed promotion next year either. And let’s be fair, they were average last season too in that they kept it tight and scored the odd goal to win. Not great football from what I saw from them either.
Is it another marc roberts situation, where the player doesnt really want to leave but the club has received an offer that they feel is too good to say no??
I have absolutely no idea mate. He could be going, he could be injured, it could be both. Or neither. I just know we can't judge it by what the club do or don't decide to tell us about. For what it's worth, I hope he stays. I like him, he tries hard and he's different to the majority out there.
He has only played half a season in the championship bar a few games for yeovil when he was younger. He should have abit more confidence in himself and want to challenge himself in a better league.
I hope the lad stays, not sure if he’s a championship level striker but I do think he’s got something to offer and I’d love to see him back leading the line. The Kone thing has gone very quiet and and I’d hope the club wouldn't part with Moore unless we’d a better player coming in to replace him.
