Is it a coincidence in the age where noise is ramped up and the mind is forever stimulated, that mental health is at such a level. People need a break, need to switch off.. but instead are bombarded from all sides.
I'd hate it if they played "music" (in other words, racket) at Oakwell in breaks in play. It's bad enough the crowd cheering after a goal, it disturbs your snooze.
When you're there watching and having a beer it definitely adds to the atmosphere: it does nolt for me sat watching at home with a cuppa.
Hard to really tell on the TV but atmosphere seems ok to me. Cricket hasn’t had the fireworks to really get the crowd going. Fine by me whilst the Kiwi’s are batting
True enough I'm also hoping for a non dramatic finish to the game, let's just blow them away like we did Australia. Don't want to be needing 8 form the last over 9 down do we!
No, I'm not a fan of it at all. It doesn't do anything to enhance the game. Still enjoying this final though.
Said the same. It’s the first cricket game ive watched on tv for years. It does nothing to enhance the atmosphere and removes the spontaneity of the crowd. Whenever I've been to a live game, it’s those bits between overs where the banter happens. Feels like they are over producing the occasion when it doesn’t need it.
I'm enjoying it but, the breaks for adverts is putting a damper on things for me. Gives an opportunity to switch to the tennis to see how Roger is doing though.
This has been happening at cricket matches for a long time. You can see the kids in the crowd enjoying it and and many pensioners have been seen having a boogie too. It's not for the purists but this is not test cricket. I still have a little dance when i go and i'm no spring chicken.
