Fulham we were very good, Wed match we were somewhat bad and against Carlisle we were downright ugly in our play. We might have a fistful of dollars in the bank but for those few dollars more we sold our top goalscorer to championship rivals. But knowing Barnsley FC we might go and beat Charlton and that would make my day. We have always played better against teams at the top of the league and struggled to beat teams below us.......Let's hope the return of regular first team players has a sudden impact and the team can run a gauntlet of admiring cheers at the end of a reds victory. You'd need a magnum force to change my opinion. You could also play misty for me and it would make no difference.
It would be like climbing the Eiger for Paul Conway to Sanction some experience. We might have to get over Heart Break Ridge to go Where Eagles Dare.
We need a midfield enforcer to come in and make a sudden impact or we’re going to end up utterly beguiled as we were under that outlaw Josey Morais.
On the flip side and being positive, if they do manage to win I'm going to find a rowdy Yates' bar and celebrate
We've seen the good, the bad and the ugly in the first three games. Based on the Wednesday and Carlisle games I must admit I'm worried about Saturday. And about what the sudden impact on confidence (which already seems a bit frail) might be if we lose. It seems like we're walking a tightrope. In a perfect world we'll turn it around, our rookies will perform and hereafter it'll all be good.
