Watched it, then watched it again to try to understand it. Still haven't got a scooby what it's about.

Having 4 nieces into them I had to sit through them. Thankfully my daughter shows no interest. I'm showing her the right way into fantasy books with Tolkien, Pratchett and Adams amongst others.

    Worst films, or most disappointing?

Twilight series (the ones I've seen and the ones I've avoided) - the 2nd was the only time I've ever fallen asleep in a cinema.

Been a lot of films I've seen the first 10-15 minutes of and turned off but can't remember many of their names.

The Spirit - Samuel L Jackson and Scarlett Johansson must have been laughing all the way to the bank.

Public Enemies - had to turn the subtitles on even though they were speaking in English. Johnny Depp's worst film.

Dirty Dancing - more tripe than Barnsley market.

Solaris (original 1971) - a nice idea and a satisfying ending, but felt like wading through treacle. Only 2hrs 49min, allegedly. 6hrs would have been my guess.

The Omen (remake 2006) - identical to the original, but inferior in every way. Why bother?

I'm with you on Jim Carrey, although The Truman Show was pretty good...

The Postman (Kevin Costner). I went to the pictures and people actually booed and walked out. It was particularly crap.

Braveheart - I know Scotland isn't a huge country, but surely they could have found at least one native actor to play William Wallace. And failing that, not given the gig to Mel fcking Gibson. Three hours of my life I'll never get back. Apart from the battle scene, that wasn't too bad.

That could easily be a top 5 list.

Reality is, there are no bad films, just films we don't like.

He was a producer, it was his project, he was playing William Wallace come hell or high water. If he wasn't it wasn't getting made. It's a Hollywood vanity project, but as they go I don't think it's too bad.

Not trying to take thunder from your rant, I understand it, for me it's the film ID. I fc*King hate it. And I'm in it! It winds me up to the point of distraction. I'll pit ID against Brave heart any day of the week.
