Seen this mentioned in quite a few threads in the last 24 hours. But could it be that the reason they weren't at it yesterday is because we didn't allow them to be 'at it' for big parts of the game.

Yes they missed some chances but i seem to recall us missing some too and another day the scoreline could have been reversed.

Its a shame that some folk cant give the lads the credit they deserve for giving one of the best, even possibly the best team in the league one hell of a game, rather than looking for reason's to dismiss there effort.

I agree I thought we did great pressing them from the front and not letting them play and pass it out from the back. Wilkes had 2 great chances and luke thomas should have scored but we played well, we gave 100% effort i cant complain some promising signs but we need another win sharpish.
People need to get abit of perspective they had a striker in bamford who cost over 4x as much as our back four and keeper put together (although I wouldn't pay his wages in washers) he got took off and they bring on a arsenal loanee on 40k a week who made the difference.

Leeds are the best team in England, dont you know? They shouldnt be playing us! Games against the likes of Barnsley a just training games for when they get back to where they belong! So thats why they werent at their best. Of course they had to take the 3 points obviously, so the referee had to make sure they were happy

If it was a lot of fans on here they'd be on Leeds back saying how rubbish they were to only score in the last 10 mins!

Who is not giving them credit? All the comments I've seen rightly praised our lads for their efforts. Having said that, I tend to see Sunday's game a bit differently to some. We played well, but Leeds played equally as well, with the added bonus that they showed patience and kept trying - even in the last seven minutes. The way Bielsa used Bamford and then Nketiah was masterly. I always felt that Leeds were going to score eventually, and they seem to score late in many games. It does not discredit us that they prevailed, given the strength and cost of their squad. What is rather more of concern for our prospects of survival is that Sheffield Wednesday, Luton and to a lesser extent Charlton also found a way to counteract us. I don't count Birmingham because we offered no threat in that game. I rather fear that Daniel Stendel is going to face the same dilemma that Paul Heckingbottom faced, namely that with a squad that is both inexperienced at this level and lacking in depth, does he compromise his preferred attacking style in order to garner precious points? Our season will probably turn on the business that the club does in January, if any.
