Looks like Donald Trump after going on the Atkins diet. I expected more like

“The BBS is totally fake news. This has been a total witch-hunt against the board. We said we were going to build a wall to keep out all players over the age of 22 and we were going to make the fans pay for it. This is the greatest board in the history of boards. No one knows more about running a football club than me. I am probably the greatest CEO ever in the history of Barnsley football club. Our finances have never been stronger. Our transfer window has never been stronger. We are going to make Barnsley great again. I met Daniel Stendel last week and looked him in the eye and said “your fired!”

 

I haven't purchased a copy (I never do) but I believe there was absolutely nothing re: Stendel in the programme today.

 

Regardless of what has gone on its appalling that they can't thank him for his efforts and commitment last season.

Just maybe DM can give certain views and there are certain hierarchical situations. It is what it is let’s agree that.

 

That just basically says “yes, I know we’ve said nothing, thanks for coming today.”

 

thats such a non statement, and in fact is yet another insult to the fans. A stay away protest like the Blackpool fans did is now the only way forwards to cattle prodding this non caring board. I bet The Rev Preedy and Pat Cryne are turning in their graves.... even the Mayor of Barnsley was better than this lot.

 

Going down the Ben Mansford route of speaking but not actually saying anything. I don’t blame Dane it’s the people above him that are in charge

 

It really is. They have had more than enough time to make a statement before it went to print.

 

Anyone remember the Waltons? They are back!

 

1) Dane’s the CEO, not owner. He still gets told what to do on bigger stuff like this. You can’t blame the chap here.

2) What went on isn’t public knowledge, may never be, and be contractually sensitive. Hence why they can’t say too much more, currently.

Regardless, we need to move on and back the club.

The programme still had Bristol City at home down for Saturday 3 pm, so having stuff up to date isn't a priority.

Hi, could you explain to us all, who you are criticising with this comment, what it is you think has actually been said in the statement in the OP and what he has done that we're damning him for?

Not criticising anyone just stating a fact, the board get criticised for saying nothing and when they do still get criticised.
Yes in both cases they could have done more, but anything they say now will just get shot down with too late, too little, only said it cos comments by some.
