    But it hasn't said anything. He's simply admitted that they've been quiet. No one is damning him for doing anything because he hasn't done anything. Had he come out and explained the situation and still received negative feedback then you would have a point. But he hasn't.

    So he hasn’t acknowledged the lack of communication?
    He hasn’t alluded to the fact something is going on?
    He hasn’t tried to acknowledge the fans are important?

    People aren’t saying opportunist, hiding behind a good performance etc?

    Yes he's acknowledged the lack of communication. He's clearly a regular Sherlock Holmes. He hasn't said why. He hasn't broken that lack of communication in regard to the issues at hand. He's said nothing at all.

    Carry on this line of argument if you like, but it's a nonsense.

    You said damned if they do and damned if they don't. There is no do. He hasn't said anything. People are still criticising because he hasn't said anything. It's still the same argument. There is no dichotomy, it's still exactly the same criticism.

    Jay, think the thing that rankles most folk is if silence is golden then leave it that way. To put a bull ***** non descript meaningless statement out when we've still not acknowledged the achievements of our departing manager is terrible.. .. Imho it'll do more harm than good.. ... meaningless drivel

    That’s not an opinion that’s a fact which is what I referred to.
    I made no reference to connotations, reference or meaning, that is you’re right to do so but nothing to do with what I commented.

    The whole thing is very strange and unprecedented. I just wonder if something has happened which they cannot talk about for legal reasons. I've no idea what it could be, but i could explain the radio silence. Maybe we will find out in time; maybe we never will.
