I'm not just saying this but I will not be renewing my ticket next year. Love the view I have and the people around me but under this board I'm done. If everyone did the same it would either force them to leave or kill the club. Whilst I wouldn't want to do the latter I feel this board has done that anyway. 35 years I've been going. Never given up on the club but with these I'm done
Futile gesture. It will change nothing. The owners will leave when they realise there policies are not giving a return on their investment.
Only way to get the message accoss is if the gate is about 5000 which is never going to happen. I dont want to go and watch the garbage we have been putting out but i have a season ticket so im not going to waste it even tho technically its already a waste of 300 quid. Protests and singing in ground are a total waste of time. Only thing that would hurt them is less $'s in their pockets......
There's some lily livered chuffs around. Sometimes you've got to stand up and fight for something you care about. They need to see that we are opposed to the direction they are taking us.
The flaw in the plan is the same flaw that we see whenever football fans protest - there is absolutely no solidarity amongst the fan base when it really comes down to action. It just don't think it would work. We would need to protest in a different way.
The protest will come when we don't renew, we'll be hurting our club by denying it revenue but we have to vote with our feet. They're not there to see/hear a protest anyway, they don't give a fook about anything but money.
In the long term they'll come second. They'll not break the spirit of us, we'll be there long after they have chalked F on their nice little project.
If they are only in it for the money we don’t have to do anything. They have turned a decent club into a crock of *****. Unlike Nice there is no queue wanting to buy us. No manager wants to manage us. No players will want to play for us. Decline in supporters wanting to watch us and when relegated a decline in tv money. Owning BFC is quickly becoming like owning a timeshare. Let’s hope the council retains its stadium interest.
I'm lacking inspiration at the minute but mainly because I don't think that our owners will take much notice. I don't think walking out or not going will work unless a significant number of fans take part and I'm sceptical about this. We need to do something but what I just don't know.
I hope you’re right mate, I really do. Surely someone else out there would want to invest in a decent little club with no debt and a strong fan base (for now)?
