Oh dear. Mentioning you have a soft spot for Hibs on a Hearts page. I'd advise you not to visit Auld Reekie any time soon.
Lol. Sorry for being so useless pal. And the tin pot league is a bit out of order. Wonder how many Scottish games he has attended.
I've never seen one Ian. But went up for the Hibs friendly that got called off 2hrs afore. Went to pub on Easter rd enjoying the company of locals . But we went outside as it was rammed. Clientele outside pub across the road. Looked as though they wanted to kill us.( Apparently Leeds were up week before and all hell broke loose.)Thankfully those we'd struck up conversation with. Said " nay worries yeel be oright wi us" One or two invited us to the Hibs supporters club for the rest of the afternoon. Then invited us back at night. Great time had by all.
I also attended that game that never was. Had a few pints with guys from Penistone who I got talking to outside the ground. My train ticket home was not valid until 8pm so I spent the afternoon and early evening drinking and ending up pissed. So it was a good day after all.
You'd be made very welcome where ever and which ever game you chose. We are a very accommodating lot.
lived in Scotland for about 14 years when in the RAF.... went to watch Highland league a bit, but also Inverness CT quite a bit too. It's a better standard of football that most on here appreciate.
Tbf dragon standards have slipped of late. Celtic and rangers scooping up most of available money in the game. Satellite TV money is very thin on the ground all of which had a detrimental effect of the product on the pitch. But we have what we have. Hopefully things will improve but as you say there are still good games to be had. Even a man u v Liverpool game can be a poor game.
