Not sure if this has been posted but I would be questioning the motive behind this if I supported them https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www....unch-revolutionary-10-YEAR-season-ticket.html seems very odd...
Thought it was Bradford city who tried it before they went tits up years ago? Could have been both though.
Leeds went even further and tried it for 25 years. https://www.independent.co.uk/sport...season-tickets-to-raise-funds-567526.html?amp Don’t know about Bradford, but you’re probably right.
Desperate stuff. I might buy one and sell every year back to them. Guaranteed 50% profit over 15 years then 10% extra for every year after 5 that they fail to go up. Could be a nice little earner, at least until they go tits up.
Portsmouth did a lifetime season ticket offer when they were in financial meltdown a few years ago, some fans who could afford it paid ( I think) £2000, to 1, help save the club and 2 the season ticket offer. The club are now financially sound and a lot of fans have animosity towards the ones who paid the 2k, saying they have had there money's worth and should hand it back in because the club is now under different owners, I think the one's who are moaning have a short memory or naive in thinking a club would have one owner over the course of a lifetime, they helped save the club when the club most needed help good on them IMO
Read somewhere that they want £8 million to sign an as yet unnamed striker who they believe could help their bid for promotion to the Premiership.
Have I understood this right, if it takes 10years to get promoted to PL they get 25 years, equally if they never get promoted you never pay again?
No .....20 years.....like a death sentence To the second part ....yes. The fans seem a little concerned at Mr Chancers motives and business acumen. Thread about it on Porktalk if you want a laugh https://www.owlstalk.co.uk/forums/topic/286935-10-year-season-tickets/#comments
Makes perfect sense. When you support a massive club, it's only right and proper that you should have a massive season ticket.
According to the Porktalk thread Leeds did a 25 year one.....went into admin shortly after.......Bradford did a 25 year one....went into admin shortly after. The similar schemes don't seem to have a good track record....hope it goes as well for the Piggies
Yeah 20, (can’t add up), wow, that’s a massive gamble on the clubs part. If enough fans took it up it could have serious ramifications if they failed to go up within a couple of years.
