Firstly we sell three of our best players and our regular goalkeeper leaves for the loot. We replace them and add young, untried players many from foreign leagues. Our managers buggers off and we wait 6 weeks to replace him with a manager with no experience in this league or level. He brings in his coaching team and the previous managers coaching staff leave. After a faltering start we show improvement but then our regular centre half is suspended after failing a post match drug test. .....It's not been an easy season has it.....
Well the board have brought about most of the problems apart from sidelining Cavare,Pinillos and Thiam and of course Diaby situation. But as seasons go the fans have been put through it a bit.
For me its been even worse than the one 2 years ago or even the Spackman debacle - probably the worst season in my 50 years of attending Reds games - and as you say - with the exception of the Diaby situation its pretty much all down to decisions made by the board. Starting with what now seems to be the Worst transfer window ever last summer
I never really thought after past behaviour the board were ever gonna do anything major in the last transfer window. The two 'experienced' austrian players needed time to adjust to the pace of the championship but so did all the multiple signings of the summer as it was their first time in the championship or english football for many of them . We shot ourselves in the foot before the season commenced with the sale of Moore, Lynsey, Pinnock and weakened the side not built on last seasons team. Board to blame IMHO and it also led to DStendel's departure I think.
Well if they were sidelined with the intentions of getting shut, then that too has backfired as they are being paid for doing nowt as it stands.
Well there is always two sides to a story. We will never know what really went off behind the scenes I think. More than both parties involved have ever let on.
If you believe that fine. I've heard a lot of different stuff and I know what I think but there are a few bits that dont quite add up.
