https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-52724818 You couldn't make it up. I mentioned it on another thread a while back. Low and behold it's finally happened.
LGBT Flag - meaning to each colour :- Red - life Orange - healing Yellow - sunlight Green - nature Blue - harmony Purple - spirit
Rainbow flag a symbol of peace and hope - think the NHS adopted it re Covid 19 as it's appropriate in that context.
I wonder if the LGBT movement would admit to stealing the rainbow from the bible ? https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Genesis+9:13&version=NIV
dunno, but the rainbows in the sky have seven colours Richard Of York Gave Battles In Vain Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, Violet.
yes, LGBT flag had eight colours originally - as well as the 6 listed in an earlier post there was 'hot pink' representing sex and 'turquoise' representing magic and art. (Said that the 'hot pink' was removed as it was difficult to get a fabric of that colour.....??) There are variations of the 6 coloured flag to represent the different groups of people who identify as LGBT +++.
The nice thing about seeing a rainbow is that it's unique to you and you alone. Even if you and your partner see one together, standing side by side, you're actually seeing two different rainbows. It's all down to the millions of raindrops involved and the number of them that work at the correct angles for the position of your eyes. It's a different set of raindrops for every pair of eyes. I've always found that to be just a little bit beautiful. Next time you see a rainbow, it's all yours.
