Apparently broke lock down rules before they were relaxed and drove from London to Durham. There is a God

It’s better than that. Whilst he knew he had Covid he drove 260 miles to visit his elderly parents with his kid in the car and then dumped said child for grandparents to look after. A hugely risky thing to do.

Far worse than Ferguson who had already recovered from Covid before inviting a friend over fro Netflix and Chill in his own home.
Ferguson’s position was untenable and he had to resign.

I am fairly sure Cummings won’t be forced to do so though as though what he did was far worse they will find a way to get him off the hook

Of course he won’t Helen, the govt have already said that he made the trip with his wife to drop off their son at his parents to look after him whilst they were apparently self isolating for 2 weeks. May have been better for his parents to drive to him!

Not well enough to look after child but well enough to drive to Durham.

Dominic Cummings won’t resign and shouldn’t resign.
I think people are mixing him up with an elected representative.
Cummings is a private citizen that only answers to his boss.
He does not need to answer to the electorate.

    You're right.

He is a **** though. Of the highest order. And runs the country. Somehow.

    What a world.

True, he's only a private citizen with the ear of the Prime Minister. If the law can't do anything, perhaps Old People's Friend, BoJo the clown could tick him off.

Not sure the two medical advisors have to answer to the electoral but they resigned ... sure they had help in making that decison.

I think everyone on here would do well to read Neil Postman's Amusing Ourselves to Death.

    Published in 1985 no less.

Roger Waters also wrote an excellent song (and album title) inspired by the same title.

The law can’t do anything - because he hasn’t broken the law.
    He’s allegedly broken government guidance.

It's not a question of the law. It's a question of integrity.
