    What’s the reason for rejection?

On what basis? I still know lots of people working in benefits so if you give me info privately can see if they think the rejection is correct or not.

Don't get put off at the first rejection, a lot of the people doing the assessing don't actually know the system properly.

Why are you not eligible for the 7.5k self employed grant ?
    Self employed is self employed.

You don’t have any savings in the back at all. That can affect the universal credit applications

A couple of lads at my place of work have been rejected because they have excessive savings . They ve also been furloughed but because they ve been with us less than 3 months are not entitled to anything . Ironically we have re opened with 40% staff but because their non productive staff they ve been left furloughed . There's a lesson in there somewhere .....

If they're on the payroll they're entitled to furlough pay

Think you ve to be in employment for 3 months with the same company . I think it's to stop companies taking on staff to exploit the furlough system . Like a director taking on his wife for example then claiming it .

Originally you had to have been employed by them by a certain date in February so around a month when furlough could have started. This was then changed to include anyone who was employed on 19th March which was just before the scheme was announced which stopped what you described from being possible

The problem was by the time the change was made many people had already been cut adrift and to claim the money you are dependent on the goodwill of employers.

@John Peachy i know a guy who helps people fill in forms for things like this, he charges a tenner... He gets you what you are entitled to though, no messing. Do you want me to PM you his number? He’d help you straight away.

also, I know money it tight due to your situation. I’d happily pick up the bill, just let me know.
