If I was Conner and Ritzmaier was starting ahead of me Id be fuming. Im glad he had a go at the bench, Chaplins a proper player.
Easy to see he's trying to use his squad the best he can for this run in. He's done a good job of it so far, 2 wins and a draw.
Agreed, you can tell he's got that bit of class about him. I hope he keeps his place in the team. All the subs tonight have certainly staked a claim for a starting spot.
He’s not though is he? It’s not like he’s rotating to keep people fresh. Chaplin’s not started any of the 3 games. In fact the teams barely changed in any of the 3 games It seems that Struber now believes that Simoes should be in the team over Chaplin & Woodrow goes up top with Brown. I don’t think I agree, I’d play Brown & Chaplin up top with Woodrow behind as I think it works for us but ultimately I don’t care as we get results.
Yes, he is rotating it - I'd expect half the bench to be starting the games soon. A few on the bench were regular starters before lockdown, Halme, Thomas, Chaplin & Odour. Palmer, Anderson, Elliott weren't getting many starts, that's him rotating his squad.
You know that footballers have positions don't you? I'm not sure Conor wants to play at right wing back where Marcel is playing.
That’s a bit of a stretch. No ones played for 3 months. Surely rotating your team is making a few changes game to game to try & keep everyone fresh not stick with virtually the same team for 3 games in a row after a 3 month lay off? Barring Williams for Ludewig he’s stuck with the same team but Chaplin & Styles May well have earned themselves a start.
Isn't it better to hold something in reverse... By sending out the lads he does first with the instruction not to conceded keep it tight at the back then when the other team is weakening hit them with the big guns so to speak... Tactical genius tonight or what... is our gaffer lol...
Don't forget we're not playing in normal end of season temperatures, Blackburn had some far older players out there tonight who will have struggled towards the end, thats when good substitutions come into their own
