I might as well say this now - Paul Cook has pulled out. So if anyone wants to leave, now's the time.

They're getting absolutely destroyed - in the event they win their appeal, they'll get about 15 points next season. 25 in League One.

That, whatever the division, they're finishing 24th because he'd have nothing at all to work with. Everyone of any talent will leave, and he'd be left with the rump of a youth team plus whatever old dross he could sign.

    SEE ALSO: Bolton, last season.

Makes the club more saleable so they can put their own man in. Also cuts the wage bill.

Still, nothing to say the new owner won’t want him back.

Not sure losing a manager who has worked wonders makes them more saleable. He will go to Bristol City.

With a bit of luck he'll go to Watford.

Doesn't make the club more sellable at all.

If you think it does, you don't realise how ****** they are.

I know their issues - but that’s not the point.

Usually new owners have their own people lined up, some whom are often part of the deal. With Cook gone, they save money and a position is free straight away to fill.

Whether they are better than Cook is irrelevant, as that’s not what it’s about.

Look at Steve Bruce at Newcastle - he’s done a great job really, but if they are sold, he’ll be out in a flash with a random foreign manager lined up who’s linked with the owners.

Cuts his wage off during the summer, and allows the new owners to put in their new bloke.

I agree in that he’s still the right man for the job, but that’s football. Takeovers usually have players/managers involved in the background.
