The club and the Cryne’s most certainly fully separated it would seem. Who else would want to buy the stadium?
What part of that statement led you to conclude that the owners are out of order here? The Cryne’s have done a lot for this club but are they acting out of interest for the club (which they apparently still own 20% of), or themselves? I honestly don’t know, and if they’ve had enough of football they can do what they like - but the owners of the club will protect their interests - which is the club.
Very odd indeed , the Council wouldn’t , John Dennis ?, Peter Doyle ? Or there’s another company called BFC Oakwell Holdings bowling the batsman’s Wiley Ltd
That reads to me as they have told Crynes won’t get a penny more and the 2.75 is the balance. Interesting that they have confirmed they have never took a penny out and for put some of own money in.
I remember Patrick telling me the other party had first rights to buy the others share if the other wanted to sell. Council trying to protect BFC for the fans? Just a guess.
The statement likes referring to 'the club' alot. This has just confused matters more because it makes out that the Cryne family who have been supporters through the generations for decades are doing wrong by us and that we should be on the side of the others.
Is it the Crynes taking action or the Executors of the trust that hold the shares for the family , maybe Jean and James don’t control the trust but are beneficiaries of it
So Conway etc thought they had an option to purchase 50% of the ground. They went ahead with the purchase and as part of this they paid 750k to the Crynes. They were then told that someone else had a previous agreement in place and this party wished to exercise their option to buy. And now the Crynes are claiming 2.75m from the club. Is that right? Because i'm struggling to make sense of this.
Possibly. Though protecting the club’s stadium for the fans is a bit counter intuitive if it’s at the cost of waging war with the owners of the club, who, lets face it, could kill the club if they chose to. The other possibility is that the council are absolutely skint and want to sell the complex on as development land. You’d hope not.
