Wasn't aware that the new articles were created at the time of the sale but my conversations with Patrick pre-dated that. According to those involved at the time from the Trust, this agreement was in place in some form from the OCA Ltd creation.
But then why would they try and buy it in Jan of this year? We were looking very likely to be relegated again at that point. It seems a strange time to be taking up the option.
That would depend on what any original agreement existed & whether it was registered properly, i.e. with the land registry (i.e. in the public domain). Also what was written into the sale agreement regarding buying the 50% & how watertight that was.
When have I ever said I’m a fan? In fact I’m pretty sure I’ve said the opposite. There have been some strange (arguably terrible) decisions made in the transfer dealings and elsewhere, and I’ve spoken out about that. I have also accepted when they appear to have learned from such past errors - for example in signing a player that isn’t just out of nappies, or for attempting to communicate quickly and clearly as in this case. But they’re far from perfect. I just think the raging anger towards them is a bit strong - and I’m certainly not convinced they are fully to blame here, and the Cryne’s blameless. It’s a bizarre situation and I don’t think it obvious who’s in the wrong, if anyone, or maybe partly both parties. I don’t see how anyone can be as certain as they appear to be; there’s people camped on both sides. There’s people as strongly against the Cryne’s on here (and elsewhere) as there are people against the major shareholders on this particular issue. With nothing tangible to have based their opinion on other than not liking them for other mainly unrelated things. I did read the other thread you tagged me on (although I didn’t get the tag, I never do on the app), and I read what he put on this thread too. So I get the context, whilst not really drawing the same conclusion, at least not as forcefully or strongly. I don’t feel misled or disrespected as a supporter to be honest, I think the expectation is sometimes a bit unrealistic - the club communicates in various channels at least as well as other comparable clubs to my eye, and yes there’s some ******** and waffle maybe at times, I don’t follow other clubs that closely but I doubt any more than anyone else. Everyone has a right to their view and to voice it. If the majority of supporters, though, had a view as incensed and forceful as that, they will most likely pull the plug and **** off out of here - which might seem appealing on the face of it to a fair few, but we need to be careful what we wish for. Investors weren’t queuing up to buy the club when Cryne snr was desperate to sell, why would they be now? James Cryne didn’t want it then and presumably won’t now, and probably couldn’t afford it even if he did. Why you felt the need to have your dig I don’t know - I edited the post when you mentioned the other thread, before he even posted the few things on here. ST is perfectly capable of speaking for himself, and did so.
To be fair that Juliet Rylance is ok in the new one ... Not really into the 1930’s dress code mind. I’m sure it will be to someone’s taste though, it takes all sorts...
