Going under the radar a bit. Another assist last night. He doesn't get about the pitch as much as Woodrow and Chaplin, but his link up play is streets ahead of Chaplin's. I don't think he'll get 20 goals himself, but he might be the right foil for Chaplin and Woodrow. Particularly in a front 3.

Yes, was thinking the same myself. He certainly is composed in picking out a pass & I'm sure Woodrow will benefit.

He is definitely settling in well - I think the last 2 games he has been pretty good - looks to have a lot more about him than any of the other Austrian/German players we have signed recently - except Solbauer - I can see him having a good season for us as he gets used to us

I'd like to see Chaplin and Schmidt rotated and Woodrow playing the full ninety minutes. Frieser has something a bit like Goran Lovre used to.

I thought he put a right shift in last night. He was all over the pitch popping up left, right, deep.

His physicality really helps us. I also think, based on us being more expansive since Struber left, that Schmidt will have more of an impact on games this season as he seems to have a knack of finding space. Big test on Saturday though against a good Watford side.

Think we are getting the ball forward a lot quicker now which is benefitting the front players - think he's been a good addition so far

Woodrow was inured at the weekend - at 3-0 it made perfect sense to take him off and rest him for Saturday rather than risk him overdoing it
I thought Chaplin had his best game for un in months - despite missing a sitter and a couple of other decent chances at least he was there and he has shown he is usually a decent finished - another day he would get a hat trick. I also thought Schmidt was more involved when he came on - had some decent chances and all were on target - unfortunately too close to the keeper on this occasion - Starting with Chaplin and swapping for Schmidt on 60 mins may be a decent option - or Simoes. All 3 subs yesterday had good games when they came on

Frieser’s ability to drop a shoulder and get past his man is unrivalled in our squad. Seems to be fitting in well. We have a good front 3 there. Not sure where this big hairy striker that everyone wants would fit in right now.

Frieser has looked a different player since Struber went, now looks like he wants to be involved where he didn’t before.

Maybe he's woken up. Struber's tactics were painful at times.

I have liked him from day 1. His early games he could have had goals but at least he was getting in to the positions to have an attempt. Now he's off the mark the goals and assists will come more freely. I don't see why he cannot reach a dozen goals/assists combined this season.

Woodrow needs to bag a goal from open play. He should have scored or at least got a shot on target 2nd half but for a terrible bit of control that led to the QPR player putting through his own net. Not sure if he was partly thinking of dummying it for it to run to Chaplin and got caught in two minds.

I found strubers football mind numbing at times, most boring football in a long time

Goran Lovre. Certainly remember the name and him playing for us but barely remember a thing about him.

Another player who since Struber left has been allowed to play how he likes. Every passing game shows just how bad he was
