Time to stop pretending

We went into the January window 2 to 3 players short of competing at the top end of the table now heading into the last two weeks we are 3 to 4 players short of that mark, once again we've not brought in players for now we've brought them in for later and let a quality player slip through our fingers. We severely lack creativity in the final third and styles is wasted as a wing back. We've signed a player in Morris who doesn't score alot of goals looking at his stats, that doesn't mean he wont be a good player for us just means we still lack another natural goal scorer should Woodrow get injured long term or lose form and on his last few performances that loss of form might have started.
Clinton Morris summed it up on sky very well he said we had a lot of the ball and did very little with it in the final third because we lack creativity in the final third. It's frustrating because we've shown that we are capable of competing with the likes of Swansea and Watford we just need a bit more quality in the right areas of the side to be the finished article, but we need it straight away not next season and the players we've signed I don't think are good enough at the moment to have an impact.

 

We aren't play off contenders, I've always said that. There was no need to get excited when we won 6 games in December.

However, we've just played the top 3 in the Division and to be honest, we don't look a million miles away from them at all. We're competitive and if I'm honest a little bit unlucky not to nick a point or two from them.

Finally, we will be nowhere near the bottom 6 this season, there will be no need to "look over our shoulders" at all. Just remember where we were in the middle of July

We were chatting about that during the match. We're crying out for someone who knows when to put his foot on the ball, have a look round and then play the right pass. Far too often we're passing too quickly, to the wrong man/area, and half the time without even looking.
