Not too bothered who wins through but if it happens to be Luton it would be a great opportunity to get to 6th round
Definitely. The appeal of playing a big team is being there to see it. Therefore I'd sooner have a better chance of going through.
Aye, as Fired says, no fun in drawing a big side if we're not there to witness it. Would love to see Luton turn Chelsea over.
Nope. Chelski all the way. Opportunity to be front and mind of all the TV studios recapping that fantastic game at Oakwell in the build up. Could also be the team to pack Frank's bags. If we're struggling to get up for league games then there's no appeal to playing Luton. And saying there's no point if we can't be there ..........you don't get the chance to draw these teams often so any boost to the lockdown isolation works for me.
I think playing well against ordinarily league opposition in the cup might give us a massive confidence boost. Norwich are 7 points clear in 1st. Krul hadn't conceded in 500 minutes. Imagine the boost that gives us for Weds. Whereas a tonking off Chelski might knock us a bit.
I would much rather Luton get through. If we were able to go to the game, then I’d have probably said Chelsea but as we can’t, the appeal of Chelsea isn’t there for me.
I wouldn't be too eager to write off Luton tomorrow, think the game has all the makings of a classic giant killing. However, it would be interesting to see the progress the lads have made under VI since that drubbing we had down at the bridge under Struber earlier in the season.
I would love Luton to get through , it would give two evenly matched sides the opportunity to get to the quarter final of the cup & that brings rich financial rewards to two small championship clubs & the lift it gives to the fans in these depressing times would be fantastic .
I'd love it if Luton won - for the giant killing as much as the chance for us to progress - but I wouldn't mind seeing us play Chelsea under Val. We obviously got smashed under Struber because we made stupid mistakes and couldn't cope with Chelsea's press, but I feel like we'd be a bit more solid with Val at the helm
We're not getting a tonking off Chelsea. Big Val said the players deserve a big name and this is their opportunity. We behaved like tourists in the League Cup. Very different at Oakwell on a weekend I think. Also think today's performance showed we're not short of confidence, and how much would a good performance against a Chelsea help these players feel vs. a defeat to Luton?
In it to win it. Might as well get tonked off Chelsea than have a difficult game against Luton. I'd be "oh well" if we lost to Chelsea. I'd be gutted if we lost to Luton.
