I'd call Victor many things but never winger... His pass to Victor Adeboyejo was flicked on by the winger to Cauley Woodrow.
I see their keeper is romping to an easy victory in the MotM poll with more votes than all the rest combined
Agree Brush. I was surprised at the amount of time Victor seemed to spend on the flanks today. Easy to see why someone who doesn't watch us on a regular basis might think that his normal position was on the wing.
I can only assume shots on target are only counted if saved by a keeper but by a defender for some bizarre reason
Here, then click heatmap on the graphic. Much of their possession was in their own half, but curiously they had more of the ball in our area than we did in theirs... https://www.whoscored.com/Matches/1519787/Live/England-FA-Cup-2020-2021-Barnsley-Norwich
Thanks, that’s interesting, first thing that jumps out is we barely appear to have troubled their area. And that were still vulnerable on the right in defence. But if you look at how they’d overlay you can see the press from the half way line forward. We really do pen teams in.
When Leicester won the Premier League a lot of their games had stats like this that showed opponents as high as 70% possession. Norwich also had 644 passes against our 243. Theirs were mainly sideways and backwards.
That high press is brutal. Norwich fans were full of praise for it yesterday. It's only going to be handled by really good teams who have players who are technically good enough to pass and move between the spaces between the press, and not panic in giving the ball away.
I could not understand why they were still passing to one another in their penalty area well into added time, instead of getting up to our end and trying to equalise.
