    My personal favourite was at Bell-end Road in a 2-1 win when he won the ball in our box from a corner, beat a few before playing a 1-2 with David Johnson (Liverpool and England player on loan) in the centre circle before slotting home. Truly brilliant.

    I was in the same year at Holgate School with them 1979-84, and consider three of them close mates. I was hoping you were one of them as I live so far away I have lost contact over the many years.

    See that Derrick Parker got a mention. Never saw him play for the Reds, but I've spoken to him when
    I called in for a coffee at The Thyme Bistro at Cannon Hall Garden Centre. Really nice bloke who
    although he played for other Clubs, holds the Reds very close to his heart. That comes across in his comments
    re- " we", " us" as the summariser during Reds games on Radio Sheffield.

    I was there and remember the groans from the pigs when he came on.
    I maybe wrong but wasn't this the game where Derek Parker got crocked.

    No. Parker was injured during the 2-2 draw November 1981. God came on as substitute, scoring the winner in the 1-0 victory on Easter Monday April 1983.
