I would hazard a guess that both Watkins & Scowen would have some Idea about our future following long discussions with the club, clearly no prospect of things getting better anytime soon.
Blimey that's a bit of a stretch. 'Marley, Josh, we are in the middle of sensitive takeover talks, can't tell you exactly where we are as they are errr sensitive.' P.S. I have no idea whether there are any ongoing or planned negotiations.
Yes of course they would know all about it, the first thing any company would do when considering a sale would be to have a chat about it to all their staff to see what they think. Meanwhile, in the world I live in, the staff find out about the new owners when they get introduced to them on a Monday morning on their first day.
So do I but they wanted to leave and were effectively out of contract so we're back to the kidnapping scenario but letting them out of their understair cupboards on match days. Of course, then they could make a run for it from the pitch at which point the club would have to give chase. And now we're back to fox hunting.
I would class finishing 14th in the Championship for a small club with a small club budget a HUGE SUCCESS! This last 18months have been nothing short of phenominal. Well done King Hecky and team. As Hecky said in January its time to create NEW HEROS! We still have Davies, Yiadom, Roberts, MacDonald, Kpekawa, Hammill, Moncur, D'Almeda, Mowatt, Bradshaw, Payne, Townsend, Jackson, Hedges, Elliott Lee, Shaun Tuton, Kayden Jackson and Promising youngsters Jack Walton, Louis Wardle, Josh Kay, Jared Bird, Jacob Brown, Dylan Mottley-Henry, Brad Ash. We may have more departures before the summer is out. But NEW players will come in. Last season we knew little about MacDonald, Yaidom, and arguably Matty James. All came in did a job and others including Bradshaw, Mowatt, and Moncur I expect will player major roles next year. Add to that Payne, Hedges, D'Almeda, Lee, A Jackson, K Jackson, Tuton, and youth I who we have seen little of but generally 1 or 2 of them will make impact! Out with the old and bring one the NEW. BTW Josh has not yet departed. Statement says he wants to explore his options. And why wouldn't he. Hope he stays but if he moves on he leaves with head held high a true Reds legend. He has been good for us as have we for him! COYR!!!!

Still no ceo in place as of yet .strange that especially with the close season here. May be things happening behind the scene the reason that no ceo has been appointed
That's a good point. The club does need someone who is a focal figure to negotiate on behalf of the club.
I would hazard a guess that the last people to know there was a realistic takover happening would be the players, manager and staff I've worked for companies that have been taken over twice now and only found out about it when it was a done deal. Interestingly I also worked for a company that was taking over one and I knew long before their staff did.
Our future would not have been in their thoughts at all, now if you had said their future wage packets, I think you would have been nearer the mark.
