I would rather sign the right player rather than any player.

I was once in the "Club shop" ( hut near the West Stand) and Michael Spink told
me that fans had been ringing in every day asking when " GRIDDLEIT" was going to put in an
appearance. He was a great bloke was Michael. Like Rimmo one of the most loyal
servants the Club has ever had.

Talking about friendlies like Guiseley the other night and whether our lads are told to put 100% in
against these non League teams reminded of the time I watched Archie and the Reds play
in a pre- season friendly against Ossett Town on their ground. Their coach was the old Bradford City full back
Ces Podd and he'd got his players really up for the game.

Every time Archie got the ball Podd shouted to his full back " skin him" and that's what the lunatic
tried to do. Archie was going past him with ease every time he got the ball and the lad was getting
really wound up. I was behind our goal and as a corner came in the full back and Archie went for the same
ball. I heard our centre back Paul McGugan who like Owen had been with Celtic shout " leave him
Owen he's mine". His tackle nearly snapped the youth in half and he had to be substituted not long after.!

I will never ever forget the two goals we scored that season at Elland Road when Archie and Brendan
both scored against the "scummers" and very nearly de-railed their promotion.

I was there that night against L***s, what a turnaround it was. Shame that I've not been much since then, it's simply too expensive these days.

I also had a dog for 16 years called Archie, he passed away in 2006. Guess where he got his name from...

I did see Phil play once .
At the old Brighton Goldstone Ground .
As it was one of our usual inept Brighton performances nobody stood out .
All I remember about Phil was his unusually full head of hair .
But we did get him from Barnet .

The best atmosphere at an away match I've ever experienced that night at Leeds. Absolutely electric. Highlights about 1hour 9mins into this:
