Matty Pearson fact file:-

Just done a quick bit of research, on young Matthew, and found the following;

* Matty was once fined £16 by Accrington for refusing to play in a Wednesday night cup replay as it clashed with Coronation Street at the time Tyrone Dobbs' little girl was ill. Bless.

* Despite sharing the same barber, though visiting more frequently than Ben Pearson, they are in no way related, though have versed each other at table tennis in the Lancashire Cup.

* His favourite holiday destination is Eastbourne, though he admits he's never been.

* His first car was a Vauxhall Meriva which his former team mates used to mock. Sadly the car was written off when he rolled it trying to perform an angry J-turn in Tesco car park at Chorley.

* He is allergic to dogs and bread if eaten separately.

* His favourite former Barnsley player is Willie Ferry, 'I just thought he had a funny name and fascinating tash' he said.

 

Marginally interesting fact was that his professional debut was against us.

 

Fact his mother is now a Barnsley supporter....

He once won a charity auction for a night out with Vanessa Phelps.

He was the best man at both of the Brownlee brothers weddings.

He once starred in a watchdog reconstruction. He played a home invader.

Matty Pearson is related to both Nigel a Pearson and Ben Pearson. He walks Ben's dog to become his 'brother' and once borrowed Nigel's DVD copy of Miss Congeniality becoming his nephew in the process.
