Does anyone know if Barnes is a winger? Defensive CM? Attacking CM? Left or right footed?

Played all last season on the wing for MK. Played CM for England.

Rob Staton on radio Sheffield said at the start of Football Heaven that Yiadom had a medical, and a deal for Barnes is close, Cavare deal also likely before the weekend.

    Still need strikers.

Do people realise there are different types of 'midfielder'? I assume he's being signed to play on the wing; a position we definitely need to strengthen in. Honestly, owt for a whinge without the facts eh?

I've found this scouting report which confirms he was playing wide left most of the time for MK Dons.

Sounds a good prospect, from what I have read looks like a winger so much needed IMO

Yep - and we need another one.
Like I said a few weeks ago (and received the usual daft abuse) we needed another 3 wingers.
Since then we have brought in Potts and Barnes - to add to Isgrove.
So another one and we should be ok.
Let's hope they are all as quick as what Ryan Kent is.

If reports are true and Thiam is due to sign today then I think that is another winger. From what I have seen of him he looks a good player Thiam but certainly to me seems more of a winger than a striker. Looks like he could be another Marley type player. A winger that can do a job up front but thats just my opinion of couse

Unless anyone knows differently sounds like the four imminent arrivals could well be
Barnes ( wing/ centre midfield/ forward), Cavare ( full back), Mc Burnie ( forward)
and Thiam ( attacking winger). Case of yet more patience in the hope they finally do happen.

Looks like Barnes is coming in today. Sounds as though he's under the tutelage of Steve Beaglehole at Leicester.
I knew his Dad Edgar. They were a family living in Edenthorpe near Doncaster when I was growing up
and Edgar was involved in bringing through young talent and at one point was the Youth Development
Coach for Leeds United. Steve possibly along with Gerry Taggart, will have been a big influence
on the lad and hopefully that will benefit us as we've got him for the full season. Welcome to Oakwell Harvey.
