Can we please keep it permanent this time? He's detrimental to the forum.

No doubt some of the usual crowd will start bleating.

Not sure it should be a permanent ban - though he won't learn anything if it's temporary, but I can't see why he shouldn't be removed myself whitey.

You often defend him, even when unfairly criticising you and your media team colleagues (even inviting him in to see the work you do -then side stepping when another fan asked if they could come in to help their dissertation research or something, making it look like you'd only do this for HT) - genuine question, do you know something we don't?

I don't see any reason for such special treatment especially as he's not been exactly praising of you or your work.

Because he just holds different opinions. There's no abuse, no language, nothing that folk can't just simply ignore. If it's because he trolls or repeats himself, then others should have gone too.

As much as I often dislike Hemsworth's opinions, I disagree with this ban. In the past I have seen him be rude and aggressive towards people- this deserves banning, and I was glad he was. Since he returned, I've not seen him be abusive towards others; obnoxious and silly maybe.

Banning someone for having silly opinions about treasured players makes me feel a bit uncomfortable

Freedom of speech includes the right to talk absolute nonsense. The listener also has a freedom, the freedom to ignore what the speaker has said. Perhaps more people on the BBS should take advantage of this second freedom.

We sold him for profit against his wishes. He wanted to stay and reman captain of his home town club. Making up vicious smears is not cool.

Really sorry but he dished out abuse on a monumental scale. Ask Bobby Hassell, Luke Steele, Conor Hourihane, Marc Roberts, Sam Winnall and above all Paul Heckingbottom. Abuse to our best players and manager over many years. I hope the ban is permanent.

It's not my forum to police. And I understand why they've done it again. But I enjoy reading his threads because he and the replies amuse me.

I can see why Phil irritates folk and why some want him banned but I think because I know the lad I tend to ignore his little quirks, (even tho I've got involved in his debates on occasions) yes his posts against our most popular players/manager are just plain daft but for me the best thing to do is instead of letting him get a rise out of you just don't reply to any of his posts,, he's nowhere to go then,

Commentator on game last night said that Alfie Mawson had been talking Roberts up, including the Prem thing.

Ban or no ban, it is stuff like this that stops me and maybe others like me from reading/posting very often.

Just caught up with this. If we all agreed on everything this forum would be more boring than it already has become.
Hemsy enables debate because he has an opposing view, so what? It used to rile me, but I rarely respond now. I just watch the meltdown.
