As much as we all love Hecky and appreciate that he has had constraints put on him in both outgoing players and incoming you have to wonder sometimes if he is reading games correctly. It sounds as if we were overrun today and in the home games I gave watched out has been the same. We don't seem to be able to stop other teams playing. This negates us being able to play our best game. We have seen glimpses but overall in all our games this season I feel we have been second best. Last season we were one of the fittest teams in the league running for 95 plus minutes, but we have seen players huffing and puffing after 20 minutes. What's gone wrong?????
Where did we go wrong? We let all our best players leave... As for Hecky being the best manager we've ever had, well that's just the local bias talking. He inherited a strong team on a winning run, and did a great job keeping the momentum going. I'm not sure we can consider him a tactical genius, and this season will be the real test of whether he can motivate a struggling team. If he keeps us up it will be one more step towards greatness.
I was surprised Hecky went with the same team today. Setting aside player credentials the sheer intensity of that game against Forest surely warranted fresh legs.
I'd imagine it's because lads like Pearson & Potts didn't have pre-season with us. They seem to be the most unfit of the starting side to me. Williams & McCarthy who've both come from Prem sides look very fit & most of our players who were here last season look fit enough to me. We probably struggle to stop teams playing because some of our lads aren't used to playing against this kind of quality, I'm sure it'll change in time with more coaching &a experience

At last. I know were all up his arse on here but Jesus, his team selection and tactics is baffling at times. Wilder out thought him yesterday, so did McCarthy at half time last week.
