Mate, seriously, boozer's paradise. Went for first time 6-7 years since en route to Preston away. Absolutely cheap as muck for a pint, EVERYWHERE, to the extent that we only had one in Weatherspoons coz we felt we were getting our leg lifted. Imagine our joy when the game got called off due to ground safety (unmelted snow around the ground even though pitch was playable). Time & Place is a good in, run by a right miserable tw@t but can tolerate that when you're paying around £1.60 for a decent pint.
Went last year with some Rotherham fans Derby Arms and Brown Cow good places to hang out locals weird and Chorley fans not very friendly if their playing at home.
Just be certain you actually are going to Chorley before you get fully aroused. Couple of Boxing Day's back, we had to go to Accrington, on way to Preston, on police instruction as Liverpool were playing Burnley that same day. And that was ***** in comparison. Enjoy your day pal, I'm taking my young lad so will be driving so look out for a bloke and a kid driving by, I'll be the sober one crying.
Best pre math supping place I've ever been to. It's like going back in time price wise. Raccoon friendly as well which is always a bonus.
Yeah defo Chorley mate Was supposed to be Blackpool but Oldham play fleetwood so police wouldn't allow it
Decent wet in Chorley. Should do both like us. Going to Chorley pre match, then to blacky after match for neet. Any excuse for a puss up in blacky haha. What a **** hole but love a good piss up there
I've lived in Chorley for last 3 years, Derby Arms is a complete and utter shithole and not even near town centre, loads of pubs and cheap as well, where's Brown Cow? Only one I can think of is Eccleston and that's even further away from Chorley.
If you like real ale you'll love Chorley, a good few micropubs, my favourite is Shepherds Hall Ale House on Chapel St near the bus station (possibly biased cos my mates own it), Bob Inn on the market, Ale Station and Speakeasy also on Chapel Street, D'Owd Ale House on Market Street, Bootlegger's on Bolton Street, most the other pubs do real ale as well. The Malt n' Hops is well worth finding, (just under the subway from Shep's Hall and the Ale Station). Near the town hall are the White Hart and Rose and Crown, (the George burnt down last year). Pearson's on Market Street is decent but doesn't allow kids, there's the Wetherspoons, Prince of Wales and Flat Iron all within spitting distance of the main car park, loads of pubs and you can walk from one end of town centre to other in less than 10 minutes
Enjoyed a few bevvies there mate and then we visited MY CHOCOLATE in Manchester all round a good day at Chorley and the chocolate factory I'm so sorry.
Are you going with the courthouse mate? I know they tweeted about going to Blackpool beforehand. Have they had to change?
Was in Blackpool when Oldham played them .loads of trouble in the Manchester pub beffort and after ...
