0ne thing cas and other league teams seem very good at is selling merchandise, cas have the shop at the ground but also one in the carlton lanes shopping centre smack in the middle of cas..you really are the odd one out if you arnt wearing a replica shirt or a top of some description..but when you go in the shop there must be a choice of 20 different tops plus coats, sweatshirts, vests, shorts, hats, socks nappies, bibs etc, then theres key rings, phone covers, bedroom rugs,stickers.mugs,photos//absolutely tons of products....and i've never heard anyone grumble about the price of anything.
i talked kev beckett into coming to a game just to see how they do things differently especially on a game day, unfortunately kev died while were away at catalan so i never got the chance to tek him..someone from the club, maybe YTBFC ought to come cos am sure theres summat football could learn from rugby

Went to school in Featherstone between 85-92, so as well as being Leeds supporters, my mates were all into Rugby - fair split between Featherstone, Wakefield Trinity and Cas. Used to go to games pretty regularly- BFC on Saturday, Rugby at 3.30pm Sunday, Slalom Lager Championship (was it Stones bitter who sponsored it afterwards). Lovely atmosphere even back then, free to walk around the ground, no segregation. Just a few thousand adults and kids behaving like adults and kids. It is possible. Was brilliant.

I've gone to Hull KR for 32 years since I was born, home and away. We gained promotion back to Super League yesterday after being relegated last season. It's a great sport and a great game to watch. The Magic weekend is one of the best things I've ever been to in sport, shame as it just couldn't work in football with the fans!!

Local rugby league games can end up with violence on the pitch spilling into the crowd though, there was a local team quite famous for it, was in a rough area, Grimethorpe I think, don't think they're still going.
