Do they still attend? Shirley must be getting on now. We saw her and her husband outside a few seasons ago - Boro home under Robins at Christmas time I think, and stopped for a quick chat. She seemed very well.

Its probably 18 months since I spoke to them. For some reason our paths seemed to cross regularly in Asda, and occasionally after a match near the car park. They were sporadic in attendance if memory serves me correctly, and I know administration hit them hard (as it did Ruth from the office too). I've just messaged a lass I know, whose mum lives close to them at Staincross to ask.

Shirley was a brilliant woman the heart and soul of the club. It feels like that heart and soul is still missing in the post administration years (on the commercial side of things).

Nicky Eaden is the obvious one but imho theres a few more.

Dave Watson was at times not given the support or credit he deserved.

Steve Cooper also did so much of the donkey work for David Currie.

John McDonald I thought was class although to be fair he'd lost a yard or two when he was with us. If we had him 5 years earlier he'd have been a Glavinesque signing.

Wilko was the ideal foil for Hendrie.

I used to like Bobby Horn, although I was a bit young then, not sure whether many others did.

Last season I loved watching Ryan Kent, especially the last 6 months when loads thought he was ****.

If I had to pick just one from many good suggestions in this thread it would be McHale. Without him Banks and Glavin wouldnt have been able to play the way they did

    A sort of 2nd Eleven "semi-legends" team :

    Baker

    Eaden Howard Evans Booth

    Bettany Boardman Millar Lea

    Johnny Evans Fjortoft

In their prime, I think that team could give anybody a game!!

not seen allan clarke or norman hunter on list, or are they too "dirty leeds" ?
clarkey brought us out of the doldrums in the dark 70s and norman carried us on to probably the best reds team i've seen, better than the 96-97 team
