Watched Hecky's interview on iFollow this afternoon. Buchan set up a nice opportunity for a "Hammill's great quote" and Hecky sort of brushed it off, which isn't really weird, don't think he's the type to over-praise in public.

The weird thing was he made a point of saying Hammill missed the start of the season "deservedly." Is he referring to this season or last? Is he referring to pre-season form, or attitude? To my recollection he's not put a foot wrong has he?

    Can anyone clarify?

Hammill came off bench fairly early at Bristol then played in next 3 matches at home so don't think he meant hammill as he didn't miss start off season.

Been player of season so far

Just like when Hecky dropped our two main goal threats at the time (Bradshaw and Hedges) against Sunderland for Ugbo and Barnes and I was questioning it. Oh wait a minute

Interview that I've heard on Radio Sheffield - he is talking about Hammill.
Who to mind started the season slowly.
When I saw him at Rotherham he looked one of the worst players on the pitch - along with Jackson.
    How things have changed.

It's a well known fact he my reads this forum in order to get advice on team selection. Working with the players every day in training and then in matches only gets you so far.
