    Betvictor 250/1

Worth a fiver of anyone's money? (Although true to form, Skynobet would only offer me a quid!)

Most unlikely, I know. But it would be even more unlikely if we were in December and rock bottom, wouldn't it?

I'd rather drink a couple of pints than just give the money away.

Just got £2 at 821/1 on Betfair. Current odds now 811/1 with £2 available. But that was to win the league.

3rd Test Match, Headingley 1981. Ladbrokes offering 500/1 against an England win. I was there with my mate. We both had a couple of quid spare so debated a bet. I decided to spend mine on another pint. He had a bet. The rest is history, and I still haven't got over it.........

Didn't Rodney Marsh, the Aussie wicketkeeper, send their 12th man out to the bookies to when he saw the odds, too good a bet not to have a go at?

It was the same odds 2 seasons ago when we were in Division 1. Put £5 on when we were struggling at the bottom of the league... result x

While I'd like it to happen again, League 1 is a whole different ballgame than the Championship though.

Yes. Made me even sicker. We snuck off work to watch the last few overs before the win, and I was treated to said mate cavorting round the room doing backflips as he contemplated his winnings. Oh God, how I hated him.

I was at that match and saw the odds they put them on the scoreboard we had the same debate and bought a pint
Only time in my life I regretted not placing a bet

What were our odds on promotion 2 years ago when we were bottom in December

I got 100-1 when we was bottom to get promoted and 33-1 to finish top 6 . Only had about a fiver on both though .

Ah I kept telling people we wasn't playing bad and was in a false position at bottom, talked myself into betting them
