    How does he know that, if "they" ( the new owners) have not said something to him.?
    To my mind by making the statement that he has, he is demonstrating that he's not being presumptious,
    which could be deemed to be extremely sensible.
    They will know the high regard that the current board, the players and fans have for him and would be
    absolutely stupid, if they brought a new manager in.
