Not tried this but seen it mentioned on here before. Where can you buy it? I'm a Duvel man personally, can't imagine owt tasting better than that, and it's a bonus you can buy it from all supermarkets.

Its becoming easier to get. I think they sell it in the beer shop at Elsecar Heritage Centre, and theres a place in Leeds and Also Sheffield that does it.

My Mrs brought me 12 bottles back from Amsterdam last week, where its about £1.20 a bottle, over here you're looking at closer to £4.

Although Duval is a nice drop, its not a patch on La Chouffe for Taste or sheer ability to **** you up.

They also sell it in the No. 7 in town but its about 5 quid a bottle i think.

Cheers. Looking online it's like trying to get gold dust, surprisingly they sell it at Bargain Booze you can click and collect but none in Barnsley have any in stock. I'm determined to try it now though. I shall utilise my time at work today to track down a local stockist.

La Chouffe is great! Mc Chouffe from the same brewery is equally pleasant. Plenty of cracking Belgian ales around anyway. Shame they're so pricey here. We tend to bring in a load whenever we happen to ferry across to the mainland.

Might try some, strong beer used to be an acquired taste

Remember when we were at school (probably sounds bad this lol). A corner shop in fev used to sell cans of super strength lager 9.1% called mayfields or summat like that. less than a quid a can Vile stuff it was, taste like ****. We used to buy 4 or 5 and get absolutely fecked lol

Had kill my son if he did it :)

Finally got round to trying this. Currently enjoying my 2nd bottle must say I'm impressed. For a strong beer it's ridiculously easy to sup. Another couple of bottles and I won't give a Chouffe about today's result.

I forgot about the Houblon. A good choice if you don't mind something a bit stronger!
