Exactly, look at our first performance versus Bristol compared to our performances after that. We have steadily improved all year barring the odd poor performance. You can't argue that we are not trending upward.

I love England and will always support the boys but I am in it for the long run and I have seen less progress from England these last few years than I have from Barnsley in the last 10 games. If anything we are regressing. I would rather take one step back in order to take 2 steps forward.

England aren't a bad side - we're a good side, that is apparent form the ease in which we qualify for most tournaments, and the fact we generally progress form the groups into the final stages. The fact is over the years we're not, though,as good a side as Germany,Spain,Italy,France,Argentina,Brazil, and a few others.

The argument for me is not are we a 'decent' side as I think we are - its 'should we be as good as the sides mentioned above?' and with the money that goes into our national game and through the FA's coffers then I think we should be, but we're not.

Support them? Not at all. I've been watching them on sky, hardly supporting Northern Ireland that is It?

It's not at all, they deserve everything they get.

We've had quite a few heartwarming moments since 1990.

e.g. to suggest there wasn't owt patriotic when Gazza flicked it over Hendrie and buried it - utterly unforgettable - is of course ridiculous.

But last night was yet another brick-through-the telly performance.

Why do you have an issue specifically with people commenting online?

This obviously. We have no world class players and perhaps 1 at the level below that in Kane. Ali may develop into the second level if he can harness his talent and control his temperament beyond that we are meh to the power meh.

    That's another sport.

If you're an English football fan you should have an unwavering support of the England team. End of.[/QUOTE]

Do you unwaveringly support the British tiddlywinks team? You are like those Conservative MPs who claim the media is unpatriotic when it reports facts.

    Missed my point completely.

An English FOOTBALL fan not getting behind the English FOOTBALL team is plain wrong.

No better strikers out there than Kane right now. Only a matter of time until he arrives at the Nou Camp or is playing in the white of Los Blancos in my opinion.

    Why?

    Hate Football Love Barnsley.

Can’t stand the overpaid prima donnas of the Premiershit.

Don’t watch any of it can’t even be arsed with match of the day.

I care if Barnsley lose it effects my mood. If England lose it has no impact whatsoever these days. Other than a mild disgust that is.

I’d rather Barnsley won a meaningless end of season game then virtually any England game.

You are more than entitled to your opinion. But it’s just that your opinion.

    Omwards and Upwards

Messi, Ronaldo, Bale, Neymar all miles better.

Kane is a division below but probably at the top of that division

The last world class player England had was probably Ashley Cole.

The arrogance of some in this threads amazing.

Why can't we just break through them? Teams come to the national stadium and defend for the lifes and hope for a counter. It's what teams do.

We had this very problem at Oakwell a couple of years ago. We couldn't just break through the oppo at any given chance. Doncaster, Peterborough with 10 men. Both wins due to goalkeeper mistakes. Oblak's not an easy player to play against. David Preece as him in the top three in world Football. To get past him's an achievement. If Madrid sold him he's easily a 80 million pound goalkeeper and every team bar 2/3 would want him. Every other team in Spain for sure.

To Stahlrost. Everyone knows the players aren't any good. What a load of rubbish. That defences worth 120 million pounds. The back 5 contained Champions league winners, Premier League winners or this years premier league winners in Stones and Walker imo. You'd be looking at 300/400 million for that 11.

Spurs only beat Barnsley by 1-0 at Wembley. Members of this forum call spurs fans out for arrogance. Same members i'd imagine are doing the same with England.

all wingers. Kane is world class no doubt. As is Alli & Cahill.

We've had a lot just been able to get them to gel.

You'd have to be pretty mad to deny that Gerrard, Rooney, Lampard & Terry were world class to name a few.
