He most definitely does post wind ups and does not believe all he types (at least not on all occasions).

He may have issues, a medical condition, I don’t know. I’m not trained on such things so can’t make any suggestion or conclusion in that regard.

But whether he has or not, it isn’t healthy for the only outlet in life to be football and this forum in particular. It appears to be his only social interaction, possibly why attention is sought so readily. Perhaps some of the attention seeking is subconscious, but he means to do it a lot of the time. He has prolifically done it for years.

I’m not sure I agree he should be banned, though I can see why some say that. But to be honest if this is the only thing he has, then reading and responding to his tripe doesn’t take too much time out of my day. If it gets him through life being a wum then whatever. I’ll play along.

The shame of it, as somebody mentioned, is that when he used to make regular posts about the u23s and below he gave decent insight and analysis, and his opinions on those players seemed a lot less biased and without agenda.

Unfortunately the other stuff he always did has grown and taken over. Like I say, shame. A lot of us for obvious reasons (life, work) can’t get to all the u23 and u18 games like he does or did - the posts he still makes here and there in that regard are often a great contribution.

There are plenty of folk on here I don’t share many opinions with at all, more who I’m more alike with but don’t agree with some of the time. That’s what it’s about, taking on board what other folk think and sharing your own thoughts. Maybe debate it out.

Phil never ever takes anyone else’s views on board, never seems to recognise that on some occasions he isn’t right. No other poster’s seem to have as many agendas as him (there are others who have the occasional dig and wind up but not on the same scale).

But it’s a public forum, unless Gally or another administrator removes him he can post what he likes. We don’t have to respond. He also puts quite a lot of money the club’s way it sounds like (none of our business where he gets the funds for this from). He’s not going to change. It takes all sorts. Let him get in with it.

That said - there will be times for sure that I’ll bite to something he says!

Very good post indeed. However, we all have a fuse, just some people's fuse ratings are different to others'. My fuse blew this morning, and it's blown many times before, when reading his disrespectful posts. And it will blow again until he stops posting, either voluntarily or otherwise.

My problem with simply ignoring him, as some suggest, is this. I believe people at the football club read this forum regularly. Not sure if Hecky does, but if so, he must be fed up of being singled out for criticism. I believe, if we all just ignore Hemsy when he starts trolling, this creates an unbalanced view. I feel it necessary to counter his criticism and defend Hecky, the club, Luke Steele, Bobby Hassell, Conor Hourihane, Andy Yiadom etc (the list goes on). I don't want BFC to think that Hemsy represents my views, so I have to make sure they read mine as well. I hope this applies to others on here, but I realise it won't apply to everyone. He's been warned countless times.

You're right. Like it or not for anyone who wants to sample the views of Barnsley fans here and Tykesmad are two of the first places you would come to. I'm sure staff and players do. I'm sure journalists do. It doesn't make us the UN but it does mean that some of the things said on here get noticed.
Everyone is entitled to their opinion. I challenge things I don't agree with and am perfectly happy to have my views challenged in return. HT must expect the same. The fact that he's almost always in a minority of one doesn't seem to deter him. I find it difficult not to bite. Sometimes I do and I'm always annoyed at myself but it's important he is challenged because he does have a vendetta against certain players and staff members and always has.
I'll say one thing for him. He's one of the few things on this board that gets every other member singing off the same hymn sheet every once in a while.
    :)

He's got a point. That is actually the best I've ever seen David Silva push KDB away. He's tried before, but if you watch his technique in this example it is textbook.

Not sure why people are getting so worked up. Clearly not seen all the other times David Silva has attempted this move and ended up looking rather silly.
