    ******* hell they're ***** as well.

If Kurt Cobain knew they would be one of the results he never would have killed himself.

    LOL

In all seriousness it's why I stopped going to large gigs years ago. 400 people max usually now. You can see & hear, & usually buy a pint at a reasonable price.

Im a small gig fan. Loved the leadmill and the older venues, TopRank, Leeds Uni, etc. All my best gigs have been at these kind of places. However my lad wanted to go and see the Foo Fighters again. Last time he was 8 years old, had a blow up guitar and attracted the rock chicks. Now he is 19 next month but still is a big fan. Bit like me and Slade.

Oh and to balance it off, i also have tickets for Future Islands at Manchester Apollo and Peter Hook and the Light in Wakey.

I saw them at the Isle of Wight Festival in 2006. Weekend ticket was around £100 and for that I got to see plenty more top rank acts, including Coldplay. I know plenty on here don't like Coldplay but they were at the top of their game at that time, just after releasing X&Y. I wasn't expecting such a spectacular stage act, but it was.

    Foo Fighters were.......ok, nothing more.

Get me in are owned and operated by Ticketmaster what a coincidence tickets magically appear at extortionate rates a few minutes after they've sold out.

This has happened the last 2 times i've tried getting tickets very frustrating.

I've always managed to get tickets before the events at reasonable prices just look on twitter a few weeks before.

Saw Foo Fighters in 2007 at Sheffield motorpoint arena, they were awesome, but they haven't really released anything decent since so no desire to see them again.

I saw them in 2003 at Big Day Out at Glasgow Green where they weren't headlining, RHCP were (better band imo). The line-up was The Distillers, Electric Six, PJ Harvey, Queens Of The Stoneage, Foo Fighters, RHCP. All for £35.00 I believe. Scandalous nowadays.

My biggest regret (when it comes to concerts) is not being able to have the night off work in October 1989 to see Mudhoney at the Hallamshire on West Street.... supported by Tad and a little known 3 piece Seattle band - Nirvana.

What's the venue in Wakefield? Often saw bands play at the Escobar before the proprietor made the disastrous decision to move to Leeds.

how is that even legal these days? Selling tickets for more than the face value should be a criminal offence - as should adding 'admin' fees and 'booking' fees.

seems every funker is a rob-dog these days. I blame Thatcher. Still.

Hold your nerve - extra tickets will be released a day or two before the gig.

I saw them at 1991 & 1992 Reading festivals, would have liked to see them at a smaller venue though.

    Foo Fighters are America's Stereophonics.

Future Islands put on a good show but the bass player is the only talented one really.

I like polish club and picturedrome. Just right size. Some of the tribute bands tht visit are as good as the real thing abd you cant get as close as you want and get yo the bar no probs. Picturedrome is a bugger to get home from if u cant get a lift tho.
