I have just watched the highlights and tbh I'm struggling to see the foul that the ref saw to disallow our second goal. There was a shout for a foul earlier in the first phase of play but the ref seemed to ignore it and allow play to continue only for the ball to be returned into the box and the goal scored. Surely that pillock of a ref didn't disallow the goal for a possible free kick he previously deemed fair.

Same old same old tbh Ian.
Referees having different opinions on incidents based on what team it is or against .
One week giving a decision the next not giving on similar incidents .
The prof game should have a video ref imo as in Rugby.
I don't believe it would be stop start and would put a stop to most wrong or in my view prejudicial decisions.

To be fair to the ref there were a few incidents where he allowed play to go on for a short while before he blew....I thought he had a decent game after a dodgy start, no arguments from me.

OK sad brewer hard to disagree with you when you were obviously there but from what I witnessed on those highlights we were harshly dealt with. Wonder if in may you will have the same opinion should we go down 1point short of safety. Hopefully this scenario will not happen but just saying.

Hi Ian....as you say it might be up for a bit of controversy ...but I thought he was a decent ref who generally let the game flow, we often knock them for blowing too early and in this case it probably looked as though it went against us but I think in view of his overall performance it was correct.

I thought the ref yesterday had a great game. He was keen to give either side advantage instead of stopping play immediately, but when the attacks came to nothing soon then he wasn't afraid to give a free kick anyway. I thought it made for a very entertaining game that wasn't stop-start, at the same time as being fair overall.

Did he get the decision for our disallowed goal wrong? Yeah, probably. But I honestly don't mind if referees make the odd mistake, they're only human and they only get to see it once, and yesterday the referee made for a very good game.

Fair comment sb. Let's hope that the loss of those 2 points will not be too important come may. Hopefully we get more of the rub of the green in games to come.
