Best he gets games. Sounds like he's started well. He is talented and rapid, so hopefully if he gets game experience he can kick on and challenge for a first team squad place next season
Some very positive comments about him on their forums: "I have been impressed and enjoyed watching him play, quality player who can only improve." "This player gives the crowd a lift and buzz as soon as gets the ball, total class today I thought and cracking goal...can we keep him. MOM for me v Halifax today. " "This kid has it all he is class. He is a fantastic player and will play a higher level. He is loving the club lets hope he has found his home......" "He has pace and a great touch and is just what the team needed to help spearhead more scoring form." "He WILL play at a higher level. We are fortunate to have him here until January. I'll be very surprised if Barnsley allow him to stay any longer." Looks like we've got a very promising player our hands.
Fantastic goal. Looks to have power and pace in abundance. When we signed him at the start of last season, I asked a couple of Bradford fans about him and they said he looked severely out of his depth in the few appearances he made for them, so I was a little sceptical. Heard nothing but good things since he signed though, whether out on loan or in the 23's.
Think we should recall him from Tranmere in January. Given we've got a lot of quality wingers he'd still find it difficult to get into our first team so perhaps offer him an extra year on his contract then find a League One/Two team for the rest of the season so he can play at a higher level then if he's ready get him in our 1st team squad next season All lovely and idealistic but a decent plan to develop him
Tonight Alex Mowatt played 55 minutes of Oxford United were dumped out of the FA Cup by League Two Port Vale, losing 0-2
Dylan Mottley-Henry played 90 minutes as a wing-back in Tranmere’s creditable 1-1 FA Cup draw with Peterborough; the game goes to a replay!
Nick Townsend didn't play for Solihull Moors today in their FA Cup defeat. Presumably we didn't allow him to play in the cup, given that an injury to Davies in January would mean Walton would be our only available keeper; even Jake Greatorex is cup-tied!
One very minor and dull line tonight: Alex Mowatt was an unused substitute for Oxford United as they lost 3-4 to MK Dons in the Checkatrade Trophy but still go through to the next round
Today Alex Mowatt was again an unused substitute for Oxford United in their disappointing 1-2 defeat to Northampton Another game for Nick Townsend for Solihull Moors but they lost 0-2 to Sutton United to remain at the bottom of the National League Another 90 minutes for Dylan Mottley-Henry for Tranmere in their impressive 2-0 win over Dagenham & Redbridge
Another full game tonight for Dylan Mottley-Henry but a bad night for Tranmere as they were thrashed 0-5 by Peterborough to bow out of the FA Cup
Today Alex Mowatt was a 64th minute substitute for Oxford United in their impressive 4-0 win at Plymouth Dylan Mottley-Henry played 72 minutes and Josh Kay was an unused substitute so is still waiting to make his Tranmere debut; a disappointing day for them as they lost 0-1 at Gateshead with a 93rd minute own-goal proving the difference Another full game for Nick Townsend today and Solihull Moors are off the bottom of the National League despite conceding in the 1st minute to Maidstone United; they drew 1-1
Tonight Alex Mowatt was a 61st minute substitute as Oxford United lost 2-4 to Blackburn Rovers Dylan Mottley-Henry played the full game and Josh Kay made his Tranmere debut as an 89th minute substitute as they drew 2-2 with Macclesfield Finally, another game for Nick Townsend as Solihull Moors lost 0-1 to Wrexham. Unless the loan is extended, that will be his last game for the club
Alex Mowatt was a 9th minute substitute for Oxford United as they drew 1-1 with Southend A good day for Tranmere as they thrashed Maidstone United 4-0; Dylan Mottley-Henry played 84 minutes and Josh Kay was an 86th minute substitute It seems that Nick Townsend's loan spell at Solihull has come to an end as he wasn't in their squad today
Tonight Alex Mowatt played 90 minutes and scored a late winner for Oxford United as they beat Gillingham 2-1 in the Checkatrade Trophy 2nd Round to make it one step closer to a 3rd consecutive final
Alex Mowatt played 90 minutes as Oxford United picked up a dramatic late win over Doncaster Rovers, they scored in the 96th minute to claim a 1-0 win Dylan Mottley-Henry played another full game in Tranmere's comfortable 3-0 win over Torquay United; Josh Kay was not in the squad
Alex Mowatt played 90 minutes as Oxford United were held to a 0-0 draw with Rochdale Dylan Mottley-Henry started in Tranmere’s abandoned FA Trophy game with Solihull Moors; the game was abandoned after 38 minutes with Tranmere leading 1-0 due to floodlight failure! It will have to be replayed Josh Kay was not in the squad again so presumably his loan has ended
One quick line from Monday: another 90 minutes for Dylan Mottley-Henry in Tranmere’s disappointing 0-2 FA Trophy defeat to Solihull Moors in the rearranged day (apologies for the wrong opponent on Saturday!)
