People will often look at the loans and really say why have we got them. To me, it's a stupid thing to say because of games like last night when they turn the game Barnsley's way and you really see the class you get from the premier leagues players. Williams Barnes Ugbo and when you add the likes of recent permanent former premier league players like Isgrove, McCarthy and Fryers they stand out a mile.

Last night we went back winning ways with our winning shape and it baffles me more when you see us play 44 lose.

When I saw the team selection I was pleased to see Isgrove back with Barnes wide and Ike Ugbo upfront.

Don't understand why McCarthy didn't play and Yiadom did. Fryers and McCarthy are way infront of Yiadom for me. 5th time i've seen the former Barnet defender this season in competitive games an really struggle to see how he gets picked. That after an awful preseason leaves me thinking he's not in the best 11 and with Cavare coming back he must be under threat for a squad selection at all.

Are Burton an easy team to play? no. They play a 343 and play it well. Got some limited players but they are effective at home in a tight ground. When they get on top it's really difficult to regain the possession for periods of time with there speed up front and man mountains at the back.

We've got to find a better alternative to the Davies goal kick because 90% of the time we aren't winning the ball from them. We tried the isolate Potts trick again last night. Didn't happen.

Not a person to do match reports so if you are the type to say well you didn't put this in. Well do one you sad sad person.

Barnes, Barnes will tear you apart again. What can you say about this guy. Unbelievable talent. Thankyou Leicester City for letting Barnsley fans see him for a season. Had a quick scan through the threads when the teams were announced. Saw people saying he should have been dropped for Hammill to start. WTF. Honestly what world do some people live in? Hammill over Harvey Barnes.

Fryers again. If he wasn't fit on the weekend okay but the guys a real talent. Lets get him fit, confident because he belongs in the premier league. He's not a shouter by the looks. Ice runs through the veins. 3 year contract? might be wanting to extend that.

lindsey. Getting players from Scotlands a gamble at times. But we look at have a decent one. Macdonald. I don't know if he's the new brad potts target at the games or he's making a lot of mistakes. people seem to be onto him at the moment. lets hope he can come through it. If he's a strong character i'd take the captain armband off him because it might not be helping.

Williams. That guy. permanent transfer??????? I hope so. 21? now and not getting a look in at Everton.

Isgrove. What a guy. To play 90 for the first time in what must be a long time great to see. He looks to have improved infront of goal too which is a bonus. I was one of them that liked him but thought was he what some made him out to be. Think he might be a very talented player.

potts. Him or Moncur still and I'd go George but got another goal. Nice one Brad.

Tough night for Ugbo but he showed what he can do at times. move up the field quickly. Him and brashaw foun it tough.

Well done to the fans. The roadshoaw moves on home and the masses can now see us play.

Not sure how you can call Isgrove, McArthey and Fryers former premier league players, they have about 5 PL appearances between them.
Don't really see how you can come to the conclusion that Yiadom should lose his place in the matchday squad, he's absolutely quality.

A fully fit Yiadom is our best full back.

You have got it wrong with Yiadom, Hemsy mi owd, for me he's the best left back at the club and the best right back at the club and probably the best captain. His only fault is he wants to leave.

Both the goals we conceeded came down the same flank.

Ugbo needs to fill out a bit. Had decent moments where he did win a flick on or turn a defender but too easy to knock off.

    Yids was solid.

I think I got a full house on Hemsy bingo.

FWIW, they all played well at times last night, I’ve seen us play better and lose though. We were exactly what Hecky has called for - ruthless.

I’ll return to this thread when it’s 4 pages long.

Even on the brief highlights we got from last night, Yiadom looked different class. You're just a WUM.

The major difference between the two teams was our finishing. It was tough but we can hit teams on the counter and that's what it's about for us. In all three of our away games we've got points from we've played in a similar way.

Goodness me. I was at the game. If you actually watch the highlights you can see how he's in and out. Not sure if it's the short or extended highlights from Barnsley Ifollow.

Saying that, I have little interest in what you say.

Agree with parts of that. Barnes is a cracking player who fits the 451/433 stye brilliantly. Same with Williams to be fair. Loans have a place in football and have been a massive part of the success we have had recently. This together with the changes to the loan system means we have to continue to look at them.

I think you can guess the parts I don't agree with though. Yiadom is a cracking fullback, and having him and McCarthy and Fryers fighting it out for the two fullback spots can only be a good thing.

Also, regarding Isgrove, the jury is still out for me. He has only made one start, and while he played well and scored, we need to see if he has added more consistency to his game.

I'm really pleased to see we've got some good options at full back.

Think McCarthy must have a knock as he wasn't even in the squad right? However, not sure why you're not a fan of Yids, his combination play with Isgrove down that right hand side last night was brilliant and at times our best outlet. The lofted flick to Isgrove before the Williams screamer...premiership level class from the former Barnet defender.

McCarthy, Yids and Fryers all great options from what I've seen so far this year. Never seen Cavare kick a ball so no idea about him. Pearson- while he did a job and seemed to display a good attitude, will struggle to get a game- at least at full back with these 3 fit.

    Knock Hammill...tick
Big up anyone who's been at Premier League club....tick
    Belittle Yiadom...tick.
I particularly liked the "former Barnet defender" slight.
Well done HT. Up to your usual agenda driven standard.

Burton played a classic 3-5-2 not 3-4-3. Warnock and Scannel were the wingbacks.
Ugbo was powderpuff, we looked much better when Bradshaw came on

Where's the credit towards Hecky for signing these players on loan?

I love you Hemsworth. Wanna go for a coffee sometime?

No idea where you’re coming from on Yiadom though.

I think this bell has given the game away here; only someone deliberately on the wind-up would go to the calculated trouble of writing "....the former Barnet defender". He knows "Yiadom" would have done....what any sane person would have written, after all. Everything is carefully scripted to wring as much out of the BBS as possible. Whoops!! Tha's been found out, Hemmsie!!
