    True, you can replace an interchangeable cog , but when you do , it must be of the same or better quality than the one you are replacing , otherwise the cog will eventually fail

    He is not a cog.

    He is the engineer who tinkers with the cogs so as to make the machine work more efficiently.

    Good that he's drifted in the betting. On the other hand, I've read that Karanka will not buy in to something that does not fit his bill of a "project". By that I understand him to mean something that offers more promising signs than Sunderland's present predicament. If you take Karanka out, Hecky is favourite!
