I did wonder whether Hecky would make an appearance after the hobbit was on during the last international break.

Says that Matt Murray has been nagging him to go on the show for some time.
Been impressed with his input so far. Wonder if the Sunderland vacancy gets mentioned.?

Don't want him on any tv show! At the end of each working day he should be put in a cardboard box on the top shelf of the airing cupboard so nobody notices him.

The only way I can think more highly of Hecky is if he chins Michael Brown and kicks him in the nuts whilst he's down.

Thought he did very well. His opinions were clear and concise. We've every right to be proud of the lad. He's one of ours and definitely not going anywhere.

They asked him if he was interested in the Sunderland job and told him he was currently the bookies fave. He basically ducked the question and mentioned that there are dozens of reports regarding players and himself moving clubs and 90% of the time there was nothing in it. He said that until an aproach is made to the club(which they accept), then he doesn't think about it.

The other panelists, Ian Dowie in particular were completely full of praise for the job he's done here, and waxed lyrical about the clubs business model and it's commitment to developing young players.

Something else that was interesting, was at one point he was asked how far this team can go. He replied that even he had no idea as he still doesn't know enough about his players. Just hits home how well he's done to put another team on the field and get them playing some impressive stuff...

It was a sad time when Hourihane left us but I’m predicting it’ll be far worse when the inevitable happens and Hecky leaves us.

He’s one of our own and doing an excellent job, let’s hope he’s here for a while yet.

That would be nice but I can see him being in the premier league before too long.

How blessed are we to have Hecky as manager / head coach. I just hope we can keep him long enough for him to fulfill his obvious potential.

    Aye - he'll be off t' prem.

    Earn bazzilions.

    Get t' sack.

Comes back and he not only manages the club but he buys it as well.

Worth losing him for a couple of seasons for that I would think.

I don’t think a premier league team would take a risk on him.

With the amount of money they have there is no need to take a risk on someone with experience in that league, as daft as that is.

However, I could well see a club in the championship offering him a shitload of cash to leave. And if they do and if he does, who can blame him. Paul’s number one priority is his family, as it should be.

It will be a sad day when it happens but the model we have in place is about succession so I would hope one of the now junior coaches should be able to step up.

Unless of course the new owners could inject some cash, which could be a game changer to keep him here.

Probably a Sean Dyche replacement may be Eddie Howe Bournemouth Chris Houghton at Brighton , there are not many options in the prem and 2 are not good location wise for a young family to make the move for a potentially short time. Not many options in the championship either with the expectations of the fans and clubs wanting promotion where would he go? Sheffield utd if wilder left, norwich ipswich etc, think he should be here for a while yet.
When the takeover completes he should get a decent contract / pay rise and I should hope post takeover he has the safest position in the league for what he has achieved without money.
