Rotherham striker on loan from Ipswich, 6'5 target man 13 goals in 17 games.

    Worth a look?

Absolutely, although I'd be incredibly surprised if Ipswich didn't recall him in January and return him to the fold.

Hate this thing about suggesting players for Hecky to look at - because Hecky and the backroom staff will know all there is to know about Moore.
In saying all that - the stature of this striker is exactly what's needed at the WELL IMO.

Yep, would be a good signing for us. The type of forward Bradshaw would benefit from.

Why do people bang on about BIG strikers? Don't they consider the type of football we like to play? Or are we back in the 1960's?

Think he'd be a good signing but Ipswich will probably want to look at him and give him a chance in their team

Whilst I agree with looking at Moore I'm doing so because of his output whereas some people seem to be focussing on his size. Fola Onibuje and Kayode Odejayi were both imposing forwards, both were also absolutely appalling footballers.

Well unless my eyes deceive me, we regularly lump it upfront for a bloke to try and keep hold of it. If he was BIG this would help.

As Red Rain points out (I think), we should strive to play it out from the back. But our players aren't, when under pressure, quite either good or confident enough to do this. Hence their lumping. Sometimes they lump when not under pressure too

Because of this, we DO need the option of a proper hold up player.

Obviously this hold up player will not be super efficient in running down the channels and finishing breakaway chances, otherwise he'd be nowhere near Oakwell.

But until we can sweetly play it out, there will be a need for a Nudge - type forward from time to time.

Otherwise it comes straight back all the time.

All this arises because we are not competing with access to the same resources. So we ought not to get too down about it.

Signed him for us on last years football manager (I know, I know) and he was pretty bad with his feet but a beast in the air. So once I got crosses into him, he scored around 20 in the championship.

Like others have said, I would imagine Ipswich might be taking him back come January.

Wouldn’t surprise me if we were to be back in for McBurnie. Should’ve been done in the summer.

Moore is actually a central defender turned striker

I think people like this lad because of his goals, not necessarily his stature.

That being said, he's in the form of his life at the minute and has flattered to deceive thus far in his career prior to this year. Still fairly young mind.

Interestingly, Ronnie Moore said a few weeks ago on radio Sheffield, that he took Kieffer Moore on trial at Tranmere, I think after he was released from Yeovil. He said he didn't show much promise at all and was surprised to see him rock up eventually at Ipswich via Forest Green.

Actually pretty good with his feet from what I've seen, main drawback seems to be lack of pace.

Ridiculous post do you honestly believe Ipswich would sell to another championship club especially us who are perceived to be a smaller club than them

I think if we could stack a pile of wooden pallets on the pitch to about 7 foot high then it would give us more aerial options up front than what we have now.
